Well, I'm biased of course, towards sooner over later but what it comes down to are two things 1) are you avoiding it now, regardless, whether you're too busy to stay on top of it or just pain out avoiding it?, and 2) do you have questions about your business you know your numbers can answer? (Like, am I saving enough for taxes? What should I save for taxes?, When should I  incorporate?, Can I hire help? Is it better to invest in coaching and training, or upgrade my equipment? 

If you're avoiding, I guarantee you're not as profitable as you could be if you hired a bookkeeper.

When you're stuck on making financial decisions and want more guidance, that's where I come in (because there ARE bookkeepers out there would are just categorizers of expenses!)

Then you are not alone, friend.  And it's not a problem.  From speaking with many potentials clients over the years, this is something that actually prevents them from getting help (" I need to clean it up first!" "I'm too ashamed!" etc) and the thing is, it's kind of like cleaning for your house keeper - you really don't need to.  

Typically it will take me a fraction of the time it will take you, to do the same clean up.  PLUS your books will be accurate and up-to-date.

Again, you'd be surprised how often other clients come to me with this hesitation.  I get it!

I liken it to going to the dentist or the doctor.  Seeing your inner parts is just part of their job.  

The same here.  Numbers are numbers, that's all.  AND, I've heard it's such a relief to finally have someone to talk to about their business and ask specific questions.

It really is like having a back-pocket business bestie!  

Oh we have the methods! Trust me, I don't want to know your passwords anymore than you want to tell me all your passwords.  I use LastPass for secure password storage and sharing.  Additionally, you can typically set us up with view only access to many of your accounts so we have our own log in and password, separate from yours.

It's not always perfect, and does require the occasional 2FA code from you.

We will require access to your online banking, credit cards, PayPal, and other invoicing system, if separate (i.e. Shopify, Squarespace, Dubsado, etc)

My preferred bookkeeping program is Xero, for a multitude of reasons, but if you are already set up on Quickbooks, we will analyze which option is better for you.

Yes, you will need your own subscription.  Pricing is competitive between the two, and also depends on if you have multi-currency transactions. (Hi, Paypal, I'm lookin at you)

Once your account is set up, cleaned up and caught up, your books are maintained on a monthly (sometimes quarterly in special circumstances) basis.

After the month ends, we pull your reports and categorize your transactions.

You will receive one email with clarifying questions, and once those questions are answered, you'll receive your monthly reports, typically by the 15th of the month.

Monthly bookkeeping starts at $400/mo and it based on your specific situation.

Payroll processing is additional.

Quarterly bookkeeping is available on a case-by-case basis and starts at $450/quarter. (Typically this is for sole proprietors and side-hustlers who need their bookkeeping done for GST/HST but who don't have too many monthly transactions.)
